More About The Local Climate
We're located in the Eastern foothills of the Juniper Mountains of Yavapai County, Arizona. With an altitude of 5,300 feet, our local weather is nearly identical with nearby Prescott, which has the same mile-high elevation. We enjoy a MILD, four-season climate! Not too hot...and not too cold! Mountain breezes and cooler, mountain evenings keep our summer temperatures from reaching the grueling levels of Phoenix. Summer daytime temperatures rarely exceed the upper 80's. Since we receive almost 300 days of sunshine, our winter days are usually in the comfortable 50's. Low humidity levels make all four seasons extremely comfortable! From July to September we have our summer “monsoon” season , where we receive cool afternoon thunderstorms several times a week. Our winter snowfalls are light...and due to our low humidity and our HUGE # of SUNNY DAYS, it's usually melted off and gone within a day or two. Talk about PERFECT! Not to BRAG...but we like to call it "postcard"
snow!
