Our local climate is nearly identical with nearby Prescott, which has the same mile-high elevation. We enjoy a mild, four season climate. Mountain breezes and cooler, mountain evenings keep our summer temperatures from reaching the grueling levels of Phoenix. Summer daytime temperatures rarely exceed the upper 80's. Since we receive almost 300 days of sunshine, our winter days are usually in the comfortable 50's. Low humidity levels make all four seasons extremely comfortable. From July to September we have our summer “monsoon” season , where we receive cool afternoon thunderstorms several times a week.
